Follow the package instructions to defrost the phyllo dough.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Take two pieces of phyllo at a time, layer them, and crinkle them accordion-style from top to bottom. Lay the folded dough in an ungreased baking pan, starting at the short side. Repeat until the pan is full.
Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
While baking, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove.
Remove the pan from the oven, drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dough, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
In the meantime, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth.
Once again, remove the pan from the oven and evenly pour the egg mixture over the dough.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the phyllo dough turns golden brown and becomes flaky to the touch.
