Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C) with a fan.
Line and lightly grease a square baking dish (about 8 inches, but fill until 3/4 full to allow for rising).
Mix together the milk and vinegar, then set aside for 10 minutes to thicken.
Once thickened, pour into a large mixing bowl and add the remaining wet ingredients.
Sift in the dry ingredients.
Gently mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center of the cake is set.
When the cake has only a few minutes left to bake, prepare the glaze by mixing the ingredients together.
When the cake is done, leave it to cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes in the top.
Pour the glaze over the cake, spreading it to cover completely.
Let the glaze set for about 20 minutes before serving.
