Chocolate Pinecones

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate tahini or regular almond butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup Chocapic cereal
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix chocolate tahini, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Add almond flour and cacao powder, and mix until a dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into three equal parts and shape each into a pinecone, larger at the bottom and tapered at the top.
  • Starting from the top, press Chocapic cereal into the dough to resemble pinecone scales.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar for a snowy finish. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Mix wet ingredients before adding almond flour.
  • Oat flour can be used as an alternative, adjusting quantity as needed.
