Chocolate Dipped Caramel Apples

Posted on

Here’s a fun last-minute Halloween or fall idea that I just had to try after seeing something similar on my friend @melissas_healthykitchen’s page! It’s super easy—all you need to do is dip apple slices in chocolate, sprinkle on your favorite toppings (I went with crushed peanuts and caramel sauce), freeze them for a few minutes, and voila! You’ve got the perfect festive snack.

For this recipe, you’ll need:

Chocolate Dipped Caramel Apples

Course Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1-2 apples sliced into 1-inch thick pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce I used vegan caramel
  • 3/4 cup crushed unsalted peanuts

Instructions

  • Cut your apples into slices, then insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each slice.
  • In a small bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 2-3, 30-second increments, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted.
  • Dip each apple slice into the melted chocolate, then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle crushed peanuts on top of each chocolate-covered apple slice, then drizzle with caramel sauce.
  • Freeze the apple slices for 20 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  • Optional: Add a sprinkle of flaky salt on top before enjoying.
  • Now, all that’s left to do is indulge in these delicious and festive chocolate-covered apple slices!
