Indulge in a quick and delicious treat with this Single Serving Chocolate Chip Banana Bread packed with protein, ready in under 10 minutes!

I used to steer clear of protein powder because of its chalky taste, but Ritual Essential Protein changed the game for me. It’s not only the best-tasting protein I’ve tried, but it’s also plant-based (made from pea protein), has no added sugar (whether artificial or regular), and boasts a complete amino acid profile. Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 1 heaping scoop of Ritual Essential Protein about 1/3 cup
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips


  • Mash the banana with a fork.
  • Whisk in the olive oil, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla.
  • Add the protein, baking soda, and salt. Mix until smooth, then stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Transfer the batter to a microwave-safe container, approximately 13 ounces. Microwave for about 2 minutes and 15 seconds (microwaves may vary, so start checking at 1:45). Optionally, top with a few more chocolate chips and microwave for an extra 10 seconds if desired.
  • If the bottom still looks wet, microwave in additional 10-second intervals. Enjoy the warm goodness, perhaps with a dollop of peanut butter!
