  • 1 loaf of brioche bread sliced
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1/4 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1 cup of mini chocolate chips

**Cannoli Filling:**

  • 8 ounces of mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups of whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract


  • In a big mixing bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, ricotta, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  • In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the cannoli filling until smooth and creamy.
  • Take a slice of bread, spread 2 tablespoons of the cannoli mixture, and top it with another slice of brioche. Cut it into four pieces and arrange them facing up in a buttered baking dish. Repeat until all the bread is used.
  • Pour the custard over the bread, cover, and refrigerate overnight. This allows the custard to soak into the bread thoroughly.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Remove the cover from the baking dish, sprinkle the top with mini chocolate chips, and bake for 30-35 minutes or until it turns a beautiful golden brown.
