Lady’s Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
Servings 6
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Butter
- 1 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup of Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon of Vanilla
- 2 cups + 2 Tablespoons of Flour
- 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of Salt
- 3/4 cup of Milk Chocolate Chunks
- 3/4 cup of Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
- Take a 10 or 12-inch cast iron skillet and melt the butter over medium heat. Stir often until it’s fully melted and starts bubbling. Reduce the heat to low, add sugar and brown sugar, and stir until smooth and glossy.
- Chill the mixture for 10-15 minutes (don’t add eggs yet or you’ll end up with scrambled eggs).
- Take it out of the fridge or freezer, add eggs and vanilla, and stir well.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add chocolate and stir to combine. Make sure the dough is at room temperature before adding chocolate to prevent melting.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 26 – 33 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. The inside should still be slightly gooey – that’s the magic! If the edges get too brown, cover them with foil. Remember, the smaller the pan, the thicker the dough, so it might need a bit more time in the oven.
- Top your creation with vanilla bean ice cream and enjoy the warm, delightful goodness!
