Peanut Butter Rice Krispies With Chocolate Peanut Butter Topping

Ingredients

#### Rice Krispies:

  • - 16 oz marshmallows
  • - 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • - 5 tablespoons butter
  • - 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • - 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • - 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 if using Morton

#### Chocolate Topping:

  • - 6 oz chocolate chips
  • - 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • - 3 tablespoons salted butter

#### Peanut Butter Swirl:

  • - 2 tablespoons peanut butter melted

#### Optional:

  • - Flaky salt for topping

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13-inch pan with baking spray and set aside.
  • In a large non-stick saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until melted or slightly golden and fragrant if browning.
  • Add marshmallows and peanut butter, stirring until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  • Add vanilla extract and salt, then stir in the cereal until fully coated.
  • Pour the mixture into the greased 9x13-inch pan. Use a large piece of wax paper to press down the Rice Krispies into an even layer.

#### Chocolate Peanut Butter Layer:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter Rice Krispies.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds until melted. Dot about 12 evenly spaced spots across the top. Use a toothpick to swirl the peanut butter into the chocolate.
  • Let the topping set until firm, then slice and enjoy!
