Slice the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
In a large salad bowl, combine the broccoli, red onion, strawberries, raisins, mint leaves, and cheese.
Prepare the dressing (if making homemade) and pour it over the salad ingredients. Toss well to coat everything.
Toast the slivered almonds in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
Sprinkle the toasted almonds and salt over the salad and toss again.
Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. The flavors meld together better if chilled longer, so making it ahead is great!
