Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Warm milk in a microwave-safe bowl for about 90 seconds.
Add yeast and stir.
Place 1 cup of sugar in a measuring cup. Scoop out 2 tablespoons of sugar and place in a bowl. Stir and let the yeast proof for 5-10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine remaining sugar, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Once yeast is activated, add the mixture to the bowl. Stir in flour, 3 cups at a time, and watch for the dough to start coming off the sides of the bowl.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, then turn it off. Place the dough in an oven-safe bowl, cover with a moist towel, and let it rise in the oven for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
After the dough has doubled, roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle.
Spread softened butter over the dough, and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
Place on greased baking sheets, cover loosely with a towel or plastic wrap, and let rise for at least 1 hour.
Bake at 400 degrees for 9-12 minutes.
To make the frosting, cream together butter and cream cheese for 2 minutes. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.
Spread the frosting over slightly cooled cinnamon rolls.
Serve warm and enjoy!
